Doug passed away August 2, 2020

I want to thank everyone for their beautiful cards and remembrances of Doug that you have shared with me.  Doug and I had a remarkable life together both in the studio and out, and we shared a true partnership together personally and professionally.  It is for this reason that I will not be continuing on with the pottery.  It will be much too difficult for me emotionally and physically.  With help I will be firing up the unfinished remainder of the work, and will post here, on our email list, and on the Potters Brown Facebook page when all of the work will be ready for sale.  At that time I will be open by appointment only.
this should be sometime in the new year.

I want to thank all of our devoted customers for your support over the years, you meant EVERYTHING to us, for we could not have done what we loved without you.  I am not only saying goodbye to Doug, but also to you, and it is painful.  We had a unique and special relationship with you, in that you took us home with you.

I plan on remaining in my home of Edom.

So keep an eye out for the last work to come from Potters Brown, and until that time when I get to see you again, have a wonderful holiday season and let's all hope that 2021 is a much better year, we have all lost a great deal this year.

Warmest Regards.

Beth Brown

Thank you for taking the time to check us out.  Please browse our pages, our work, our history, and our passion.  They will provide insight into the beginnings of Potters Brown in 1971, our work and special designs.  Let us know your interests, send us an email to, or better yet come and see us in the studio and gallery. Doug loves to share the pottery process and Beth is probably at the wheel and would be glad to visit.  There is no better place than the gallery to see firsthand how the pottery is made.

We do not sell off of the website at present, mainly because the work is hand-painted and the glazes can vary greatly with each fire.

Each piece if one of a kind.

We can work with you exclusively via email to provide you with all your pottery needs, from individual unique pieces, to multi-place dinner sets including large serving platters and bowls to match and coordinate.  When you contact us we can send you photos of current work and can also facetime the showroom to show our available pieces.

All of our work is functional, that being food, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.  It is meant to be used and loved every day, gracing your table and your lives.

We are a great day trip from many areas of Texas and check out the other things to do in the area with our links.

Contact us directly by telly or email.  Also we have lots of work posted on Facebook, and that changes frequently.     If you would like to be on our email list to receive notifications of events we have going on, please fill out our form.
